This patient was unhappy with her smile and wanted to get veneers. After examination it was determined that patient had excessive gum showing and her natural teeth are in perfect shape. The plan executed was aesthetic gum recontouring and in-office Zoom whitening. Patient was convinced and wanted to get veneers, but this was the wrong approach and treatment that she was advised. Patient was thrilled to reveal her natural beautiful teeth which were hiding under the gums and preserve the integrity of her teeth.
This patient just finished college, and all his life he was dealing with intrinsic stains IN his teeth that would not come out with cleaning or whitening. He had a wide smile and to create a natural smile we had to veneer his upper and lower teeth. Patients with tetracycline staining typically need a special veneer that masks the color of natural teeth from shining through the veneers. Patient had 12 veneers on the upper teeth and 10 on the lower teeth. The preparation and temporary teeth were performed in one day and next visit was the final insert. Patient wished that he had done this before college but was happy he can start his professional life with the smile that he desires and deserves.
This patient was starting her early 60s and had dental work done at different offices throughout her life. One problem that she had was no matter what type of crowns veneers or implant she would get, the teeth would snap off, and she was left hopeless and depressed. After comprehensive evaluation with our expert specialist we immediately realized that we need to open her bite and allow room for function. The correct vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) was determined and patient received full mouth of temporaries to see if she can tolerate her new bite. Once that was achieved, the patient had natural crowns, implant crowns and veneers placed to provide her with a full smile. Implants were placed in the molar teeth to provide a strong support for her bite. She has been seeing our hygienist for cleaning routinely and nothing has come loose or broken off for the past 3 years!
This patient was an active yoga teacher with a large following. Her energy level was amazing, and she hated the fact that she had to hide her smile. She always had yellow teeth and wanted a perfect brighter smile. Unfortunately this patient had advanced periodontal disease, bone loss around teeth and shifting of teeth from years of having missing teeth. However, she had adequate native bone to rebuild her upper and lower teeth with full mouth of implants. The entire case took 7 months, and she never left our office without teeth. At the time of her treatment temporary teeth were placed on her implants during her healing period and final set of teeth were fabricated out of zirconia when esthetic, and function was perfect. You can see from the photo how she smiles before vs how she smiles now.
This patient was a successful designer and all her life she was wearing a partial (removable appliance) for her upper back teeth. Patient also had a deep bite or overbite, and her lower back teeth were touching her upper gums on the roof of the mouth. Patient was assured that her treatment would not be hard and by opening her bite VDO would enable our team to place implant and have room for normal size teeth to be placed for the back teeth. Her natural teeth that were saved, had a combination of crowns and veneers. The patient was stunned by the result and couldn’t believe that she no longer needs to wear her partial. This was the first time she was able to also her lower teeth.
This patient was in his mid 40s and was not happy with the appearance of his teeth. He always wanted to get veneers but because of strong griding he was told he is not a good candidate. Bruxism (grinding) causes significant tooth wear and loss of tooth structure. This patient needed his bite to be opened to give back the teeth that wore away throughout the years. Our expert specialist, prosthodontist prepared his veneers with special tooth preparation which provides the support that he would need and not break. The patient received full mouth of restoration on upper and lower teeth with new bite and he could not be more thrilled with his bite. Patient also received a nightguard which he religiously wears to protect the restoration. 5 years out and patient has not fracture of restoration.
This young lady in her early 20s was not happy with her smile and she was told all she needs is minor tissue recontouring which will be based on a smile design to provide the best look her teeth can showcase. Patient was told if she is not happy with her natural smile after the tissue recontouring we can always do veneers. After the gum recontouring she was so happy and decided not to have veneers which was the right decision.
This patient just could not go on like this anymore. She was very successful and busy and her teeth never got in the way of her closing her deals! But the shifting of teeth were reaching a point that she was ready to do whatever was necessary to rebuilt strong smile. All she every wanted was white teeth. There wasnt a vist that she would see us and let us know that she wants white teeth. At the end we ended up placing 6 implants in the upper jaw and 6 in the lower jaw and worked on the esthetics to create the dream smile she always wanted. He smile looks amazing and now she’s unstoppable.
This patient was self-conscious of her old metal crown and how much gum she showed with her back teeth. Her smile did not look right. Our team created a correct smile design and the patient was made aware just changing the crowns would not make her happy. This patient really needed an aesthetic crown lengthening to lift her gums, then new crowns can be fabricated. After the digital work up, the patient was seen for gum surgery and immediate temporization on the same day. This allowed the tissue to heal around the new temps which the design we had created. After 6 weeks of healing, the final crowns were made. She couldn’t be happier with her new smile.
This patient was not happy with discoloration of his teeth along with spacing on the lower teeth which created black triangle. Patient has moderate periodontal disease which had cause bone, yet the teeth were strong enough to support new crowns and veneers. The goal was to make sure the periodontal disease was controlled and then from smile design to create veneers and crowns to close the gaps that had formed. Patient was thrilled to be able to eat and drink without food getting stuck between the teeth. He loved the color of the teeth and wanted them to be very natural which reflected his skin tone color. Patient sees the hygienist 4 times a year for cleaning to make sure the periodontal disease is under control.
